Welcome to the new Brown Elementary site for Before and After School Clubs. We are excited to have an easy way to sign up for all of the great enrichment activities. Here is a quick calendar view, with links, prices, dates and descriptions below!

Art Club with Sweet Ridge Studios (K-1st) - $150, 10 weeks (Sept. 28-Dec. 7)
Join us to explore all things wyld! Birds and bugs, butterflies, plants, animals and places! Each of our art projects this semester will include an element of the wyld in it. Students will draw, paint and sculpt expanding their creativity and keeping their artist’s hearts and minds wyld!
Art Club with Sweet Ridge Studios (2nd-5th) - $150, 10 weeks (Sept. 30-Dec. 9)
Welcome to innovation station! Students will focus this semester on thinking creatively about an eclectic mix of subject matter. While drawing they will combine animals and machines to create machan-imals! We'll design our own hybrid animals as well as their habitats and discuss the importance of place. Delving into the concept of identity students will create a portrait of someone or something important to them all the while learning new skills, honing craftsmanship and making new friends.
Basketball (2nd-5th) - $130 (Sept. 15 - Dec 8) 12 sessions
Basketball skill training and games designed to work on fundamentals while enjoying the game.
Chess Wizards (K-5th) - $18/kid/hr - $162 for 9 Monday sessions, $180 for 10 Thursday sessions (Sept. 20 - Dec. 6, Sept. 23 - Dec. 9)
Chess Wizards is a premier chess education company providing fun, informative and challenging chess lessons to students. Chess Wizards teaches children many important life concepts, such as learning the ability to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student will have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament.
Drama Club - The Curtain Playhouse (K-5th) - $200 (Sept. 10 - Dec. 9) 11 sessions
Join us as we return to Brown with one of the long-running enrichment activities! This semester, we are working on "A Pirate's Tale", a comedy that brings us a band of hapless pirates who set off in a candy-themed ship to find buried treasure. Learn about theatre through movement, projection, diction, becoming a character and TEAMWORK!
Every Body Dance! (K-2nd) - $100 (Sept. 16 - Dec 9) 11 sessions
Come dance with us in fun and creative ways while also learning basic ballet skills! All abilities and dance backgrounds welcome!
Girls on the Run (3rd - 5th) - $95 (2 days/week, Sept. 13 - Dec. 10) - 22 sessions
Girls on the Run promotes individual achievement and self-confidence. Girls gain self-esteem and learn healthy lifestyle habits while training for a 5K run/walk race.
Mad Science (K-5) - $175 (Sept. 13 - Dec. 6) - 10 sessions and 12 sessions
Science-ology and Techn-ology!!
The kids explore the science of oceans and motion, learn the concepts of power sources and structures, inventions and energy, and much more in this STEM program
Play-Well TEKnologies LEGO Club (K-3rd) - $198 (Sept.21 - Dec. 7) - 11 sessions
At Play-Well, we teach engineering and science concepts using LEGO materials. Each student will have the opportunity to build an amazing project each class that will give them hands-on experience with gears, motors, levers, pivot connections and more!
SpaceTime (K-2nd) - $185 (Sept. 21 - Dec. 7) - 12 sessions
Space Explorers program takes some of the best elements from our other Space Adventure Programs and puts them together for an all-around space exploration experience.
Spanish Learning Network - $169 (Sept. 13 - Dec. 6) - 10 sessions
Students will acquire Spanish vocabulary and conversation skills through the use of music, games, movement and creative thinking. This club offers all of the great benefits of language learning offered by Spanish Learning Network! Learn more at SpanishLearningNetwork.com
Sticky Fingers (K-5th) - $240 (Sept. 15 - Dec. 8) - 12 sessions
Sticky Fingers Cooking offers young chefs the chance to explore exciting tastes (all seasonal and as local as possible!), master culinary skills (that they can put to use in family kitchens!) and nourish their bodies and minds. We provide all of the tools, ingredients and instruction needed to cook up a fun, delicious and healthy after-school snack each week. Our recipe collection is included as well for future family cooking fun!
Talk to the Camera - Stop Motion Animation (1st-5th) $220 (Sept. 21 - Dec. 7) - 12 sessions
Talk to the Camera STEAM-based after-school classes boost self-confidence through filmmaking & video creation. Students become the director, animator and editor of their own stop motion animation film! This course involves creating a story, building a set, filming a movie and editing it all together. *Requirements: students are expected to bring a tablet, iPad, or smartphone for video recording.
Ukelele and Song Writing- City Strings (1st-5th) - $315/$350 (Sept. 20 - Dec. 6) 9 sessions, (Sept. 17 - Dec. 14) 10 sessions
CITY STRINGS: Our mission is to increase the accessibility of guitar, songwriting, and ukulele instruction by providing affordable group lessons in a setting where connection comes first and all learning styles are honored. Music is a birthright.
Instruction to play the ukulele will be provided. Students will also write original songs. Students must bring their own guitar or ukulele. Ages 6+
